The Working Principle of Vacuum Cleaners

Vacuum cleaners primarily work by using an electric motor to generate high-speed airflow, creating negative pressure at the inlet. When the vacuum cleaner is turned on, the motor drives an impeller to rotate at high speed, creating a local vacuum in the dust collection box. This vacuum environment causes outside air, along with dust, hair, debris, and other impurities, to be drawn into the vacuum cleaner through the nozzle and suction tube.

-The inhaled air, carrying dust, hair, and debris, passes through the filtration system, where the filter screen traps the impurities. The purified air is then expelled from the vacuum cleaner through the exhaust port, achieving the cleaning purpose.

 

Main Types of Vacuum Cleaners

- Upright Vacuum Cleaners: Among the most common types, they are usually larger in size and have relatively higher power, making them suitable for extensive cleaning tasks such as floors in living rooms and bedrooms. They offer strong suction and can effectively remove various types of dust and debris. However, they require dragging the vacuum cleaner during use, which is relatively less flexible.

- Canister Vacuum Cleaners: Compact in design and occupying less space, they are lighter and more maneuverable, making them ideal for cleaning narrow spaces or high areas such as stairs, sofas, and beds. Their heads can rotate flexibly, facilitating the cleaning of surfaces at different angles.

- Handheld Vacuum Cleaners: Small and portable, they are convenient for cleaning small or narrow areas such as car interiors, furniture surfaces, and keyboards. Although their suction is relatively smaller, it is sufficient for everyday simple cleaning tasks.

- Robotic Vacuum Cleaners: Equipped with intelligent chips and sensors, they can automatically plan cleaning routes, avoid obstacles, and perform autonomous cleaning. Users can operate them via a mobile app or remote control, making the cleaning process very convenient and efficient.


Performance Indicators of Vacuum Cleaners

- Suction Power: Suction power is one of the important indicators of a vacuum cleaner's performance, typically measured in Pascal (Pa) or Airwatt (AW). The greater the suction power, the better the cleaning performance, and the easier it is to remove stubborn dust and debris. Generally, vacuum cleaners used in homes with a suction power of 150-250AW can meet daily cleaning needs.

- Filtration System: A high-quality filtration system can effectively prevent secondary pollution from dust and allergens, protecting users' health. Common filtration methods include filter screen filtration, bag filtration, and water filtration. Among these, filter screen filtration is further divided into multi-layer filter combinations, such as preliminary filter screens and HEPA filter screens. HEPA filter screens are very effective in filtering out tiny particles, capable of filtering out particles larger than 0.3 microns with an efficiency of over 99.97%.

- Battery Life: For cordless vacuum cleaners, battery life is a key factor. The longer the battery life, the longer the duration of use per charge, allowing for a larger cleaning range. Generally, the battery life of cordless vacuum cleaners ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour, and users can choose a vacuum cleaner with a suitable battery life according to their actual needs.

 

Daily Maintenance and Care of Vacuum Cleaners

- Regularly clean the dust collection box and filter screen: After each use, timely clean the dust and debris inside the dust collection box to avoid dust accumulation affecting the suction. At the same time, regularly clean or replace the filter screen to ensure filtration effectiveness.

- Check the nozzle and suction tube: Regularly inspect the nozzle and suction tube for any blockages or damage. If any are found, clean or replace them promptly to ensure unobstructed suction.

- Storage Precautions: After using the vacuum cleaner, store it in a dry, ventilated place to avoid moisture and collisions, thereby extending its service life.
